Well Worn

Here are a couple of cards I worked on with the new DSP Well Worn. I have been trying to give it a more girlish twist. Most of the patterns are geared for masculine cards although with adding some bling it turned out alright.

Second Diamond Fold Card

HERE IS THE SECOND CARD I CREATED USING THE ORIGAMI FOLD. BELIEVE ME ONCE YOU FIGURE THIS OUT THEY ARE VERY EASY TO MAKE AND ADDICTING. TAKE A 11X11 DSP AND FOLD CORNER TO CORNER. ON THE FOLD SCORE AT 3 1/2, 5 1/2 AND FLIP AND SCORE AGAIN AT THE SAME SCORE LINES AS ABOVE. THEN FLIP YOUR TRIANGLE SO THE POINT IS FACING TO YOUR LEFT AND SCORE AT THE 3 1/2 MARK. CREASE AND TAKE YOUR POINT ON THE RIGHT AND OPEN TO WHERE IT CREATES A SQUARE. DO THE SAME FOR THE LEFT SIDE. THEN APPLY ADHESIVE TO THE INSIDE TO CLOSE UP FOLDS EXCEPT FOR THE SQUARE ON THE LEFT AS THIS IS WHERE YOUR POINT IS TUCKED IN FOR CLOSURE. I HOPE THIS IS CLEAR IF NOT CONTACT ME OR GO TO WICKEDLYWONDERFULCREATIONS.BLOGSPOT.COM. SHE HAS A GREAT VIDEO.
HAVE FUN AND STAY TUNED FOR MORE CARDS.

In Color Cards

I have been trying to use up an In Color DSP pack that I purchased last year and was running low on some cards and was able to come up with these this weekend. I even used some new stamp sets and punches from the new IB&C. I would have to say my favorite is the Poppy Parade and Concord Crush.

Craft Room

Sorry the photos are not that great but wanted to show you some more pic of my craft room. This pic is where I do alot of my stamping and crafting.
This pic is to the back right of my desk, this is where I store my ink pads. In those white drawers I keep my some dies, embellishments and embossing folders.
This is my closet. My husband came up with this idea of me buying some stand up shelving instead of having to make holes onto the fresh painted walls. I keep my current SU supplies here and also stamps. It works great for me since it is next to my desk.

Happy Birthday Sis!!!!

Today my older sis turns the BIG 40, even though we are miles apart I am sending you this Big birthday wish. Hope you enjoyed your day and are blessed with many more to come. I wish you great health and happiness.
Happy Birthday!!!!
 Love ya!

The After Pics

The Color Combo. I really liked the yellow and teal but was not sure of the two shades of gray. Used the lighter one for the ceiling and darker on the walls. I figured I would use the yellow for accenting the room.
This is my husband getting started. I of course helped. I really wanted to be a part of this project and knew it was going to be a lot of work but so worth it in the end.
This is the porcelin tile we selected. We were actually looking to do black wood flooring but the more we thought about it we realized it was going to be hiding under the cabinets and other furniture. Our room is only a 10x10 roughly.

This is the partially finished room. Base board still needed to be added and window trim.
The lighting in this pic is not that great but it now has trim all the way around. The closet doors it had before were mirrored bypass doors. So we added new paint, trim, moulding, closet doors and shelving to closet.

Where Do You Store Everything????

After accumulating  years of scrapbook supplies you just don't know where to store so much stuff. This is where some of my stuff ended up.... the dining room. Most things that were not SU I did get rid of. I  will complete three years of being a demo in July and have accumulated more.

Before Pics of My Computer/Craft Room

Here are a couple of before pictures of what our room looked like. Our room was suppose to be a extra bedroom but our family has not grown and we decided to use it as a computer/craft room. This wall had 2 computers.
On this brown shelf on the wall I used it to store retired ink pads that I could not just get rid of. This was some boxes I used for storage.
After we started to slowly remove carpeting, framing and closet doors. The color that I had before was a light purple. Not sure why I used that color but it was definitely time for a change

MIA

Hellooo out there, any one there???
It has been just about three months since my last post and a lot has happened since. Well my last post was during my birthday month and at that time we had started to do some remodeling to my computer/craft room and that of course that is a BIG project once you start. As that project started and ran thru the month of April. It is about 97% complete.
As May came around I had planed a trip with a coworker to go to San Francisco,Ca and I headed out there. We had planned this trip almost a year ago and both chose to go somewhere we had never been. Talk about adventures and nice cool temps. We did a lot of site seeing and eating. Our trip turned out very nice considering the 100 degrees weather we have here in Texas.  I thought it was very neet to see how everyone there uses scarfs. So had to get one.  Then of course we still had school and my daughter plays softball which we are now getting ready to have closing ceremonies.
Then  I bring you  to where we are today. Summer vacation just started this week so lots of fun activities are planned for summer.
Well it is almost time to release the new IB&C in July. I have already received my catalogs so if anyone is interested please email me and I can get one out to you.  I am very excited about the new book. Of course being a demo we are given the opportunity to get a sneak peak at some of the supplies and the new colors are awesome. Lots of new DSP and stamps. Below I will post the links for the retiring list of stamps, accessories and decor elements. I will also be posting pics of my new room and some vacay pics. Stay tuned.

March Birthday's

During the month of March we are celebrating several birthdays. Today we started with one of my co-workers.  We usually celebrate with a lunch and cake at work. I of course make them birthday cards and a little 3D gift. Although at the moment we are remodling my computer/craft room I was only able to get to limited supplies. I CASed a great idea from the February Stampin' Success Magazine. Gina, hope you have a great birthday.

Perks

Today I received my Stampin' Success catalog and was surprised to see the Summer Mini Catalog. I did not expect it this early but this is just on of many perks I  get for being a SU demo. Woo Hoo! I'm making my wish list.

Here is another card I received in the mail unexpected from my aunt Dora. She never seems to amaze me how she always makes time to remember every ones birthday and send out a birthday card. Today was deffinetly a day of unexpected RAK. It is very nice and thoughtful of you THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! See you soon

SCS BRAK

Look what I recieved in the mail today from Phyllis Hutter. Although I have never met her before. Being a SU demo we get to have special access to certain web groups that are all SU demos and they have groups within that community. Thank You very much Phyllis I love your card and it is a very nice feeling to get something in the mail when you least expect it. I will be celebrating my birthday on March 17,2011. Yes I was born on St. Patrick's Day. I have recently found out of another friend that celebrates her birthday on St Patrick's Day as well.  Best BirthdayWishes to her.

Teacher Christmas Gifts

I also made tins for my daughters school teachers and added some candy with tags that they could use. I used all the In Colors for the tins and containers. Don't they look so pretty!
This is the inside of the tins using new Notes and Detail stamp set from Occa. Mini

Christmas Gifts

These are gifts that I made for Chrstmas and gave to family and co-workers. I got this idea from Andrea Walford but changed them up a bit.
